Don’t Settle For Less
Our Aim
ExcelTru is an independent organisation dedicated to promoting international understanding and creating opportunities for young people to connect across cultures.
- WHY BECOME A HOST!!
- Receive a weekly financial incentive for each student you host.
- Support from a friendly, experienced team with a 24/7 emergency line.
- Regular student bookings throughout the year – not just in summer.
- We provide ongoing compliance and safety checks to protect both hosts and students (e.g. annual gas safety certificate and fire risk assessment required).
- Opportunities to meet students from around the world and enrich your cultural knowledge.
SUPPORTS A STUDENT
Our host family will guide their students throughout their stay. Our students come to us from all over the world, and staying in a host family accommodation provides them with a fantastic opportunity to experience British culture and improve their English language skills. Therefore, the experience can be immensely rewarding for both students and hosts alike. Many of our hosts and their guests stay in contact for a long time after they return home. You must offer the student a fully decorated private bedroom, with bed(s), wardrobe or storage, and desk or study facilities at a minimum.
HOST FAMILY HOMES
ExcelTru Host Families keep their empty homes occupied when they welcome in our students. They provide a warm, friendly environment and are happy to support their guest as they settle into life in the UK. This may include a short orientation on arrival, helping them find local transport links, and assisting with directions to their place of study or work. Most importantly, we seek people who genuinely enjoy
connecting with others and are committed to making
each student’s stay a positive and memorable one.
